Dan,
Good to see you are still around. This should solve your issue
if I understand you correctly.
Create an .html page with your custom error message. I name
mine systemdown.htm.
Next create a docentisapi.ini file in your docent_servers\bin
folder. To this file add the following:
[plugin]
wsod=d:\docent_servers\webroot\docent\systemdown.htm
As I recall you have to restart IIS for this to take effect.

Subject: [docent_users] Generic Error Message when Docent Services are Down
Does anyone know how to edit the generic error
message of :
"A problem occurred in trying to display this page -- please retry.
If the problem persists, contact the system administrator.
The specific cause of the error is:
Docent Servers at '****' are not available. Please try again."
We're upgrading to TotalLMS and we want to turn off the service and try
and present a little more user friendly message.
Thanks
Dan
