We don’t use one for the LMS, but we use one from
SkillSoft to check for issues when launching SkillSoft content from the
LMS. Go to http://browser.skillport.com
to see what it checks.

Has anyone implemented a 'Browser Checker Tool'?

I have users accessing the LMS from their home computer and pop-up
blockers are the #1 support issues. Many do not know how many pop-up
blocker programs they have and are not familiar with configuring them.
Plus I find that SumTotal's message "Popup blockers effect the use of
this site" - doesn't adequately inform users on the problem and what
needs to be done. I know SumTotal can't control these blockers but
give me a stronger (or customizable) message. Better yet, don't allow
the user to click the launch button if you've already detected a pop-up
blocker.

So I thought to build a web page that checks certain requirements using
JavaScript: pop-up blocker, screen resolution, browser version, cookies
enabled, plug-ins. My question: Have you implemented such a tool? If
so, how/where did you post it?
