Okay, I finally found the problem.
Apparently this is a really generic error handler in the
compiled code, because I doubt if the solutions that each of you suggested and
presumably worked for you in the past, are identical the cause that I
found in our system.
I discovered today after a second refresh of the db, that the new
DBA has been dropping the triggers and not restoring them. As a result,
when the LOGIN command tries to create a record in drSession, the insert fails because
it can’t insert the sequence number in the id column and the error
handler generates this irrelevant error. After manually recreating
the trigger, the login worked.
Thanks for the contributions of everyone. I appreciate it.
