Ya, good luck...
The AICC code is a real mess. I had quite a 'discussion' with STS
tech support regarding this, to no avail. One of the problems is that
regardless of what you do or don't do with version numbers, the code
will make its own decisions as to how to handle things, based on
other, poorly-documented criteria. As you've indicated, this can mean
wrong launch links, bad URLs (a supplied FQDN replaced arbitrarily)
and so forth. I don't think the code they added for
"AICC_SCORM_REVERSE_PROXY_MAP" functionality really works the way they
say it does, and I believe it interacts with the arbitrary code they
have for deciding whether to use HACP or JSAPI based on trying to
parse systemVendor.
