Docent user? Wondering about the future?

Docent user? Wondering about the future?

  • Trying to decide what you are going to do after 2008?
  • Worried about how, whether or when you'll ever be able to upgrade?
  • Considering moving to a different platform?

Let's get together and talk...

... to other Docent users and relevant service providers in the LMS industry

If you are an existing Docent 6.5, 6.0 or heck, any version Docent user, let's get together and talk. I'd like to personally invite you to a roundtable get-together with other members of the Docent community.

If you are a vendor or service provider with something to offer the Docent community, I'd like to hear from you as well. This is not intended to be a platform for delivering a sales pitch, but if you have products or services highly relevant to the Docent community, I think we'd like to find out what's available and make sure that information is available to the community.

What will we discuss? Here's what I think we should talk about, but this is certainly flexible and we can change this on-the-fly as we think best:

  • Docent user introductions - 5 to 15 minutes as required, per user/organization
  • Vendor introductions - 5 minutes per vendor
  • Roundtable discussion - is there life for Docent/Docent maintenance beyond STS?
  • Roundtable discussion - is TotalLMS the answer?
  • Roundtable discussion - upgrade alternatives, commercial or open source
  • Roundtable discussion - Dealing with CDS - what/how?

I've set aside Monday, 28-Jan-2008, from 9 AM CST to 11:30 CST as a kick-off session for community discussion. If you are reasonably close to the Chicago area, feel free to attend in person, otherwise we will have a web conference and conference call available via WebEx.

User or vendor, please RSVP to me, Joe Kyle, at joe.kyle at motorola.com and let me know whether you'll be attending in person or over the web, I will provide the necessary event information.

For more information or to discuss further, please feel free to email me or call me at 1-847-576-8025.
